I don’t know what a fish kettle is and I want a purple coat.
Eyeshadow. I gave up eyeshadow this summer and thought that might be it. Not sure that it is particularly flattering on me anymore. But there is something about the duller days, makeup looks different, better, you can wear more of it. Have been wearing eyeshadow and enjoying it very much. Mainly the taupe shade from this Charlotte Tilbury palette which I had previously overlooked.
Clinique Pep-Start Pout Restoring Night Mask, £16. It must be the drop in temperature outside, combined with turning the heating on inside and going between the two, but my lips have gone nuts. No chaps, not yet, but they are sore, uncomfortable and tight. This lip balm from Clinique is the only thing that brings relief.
M&S Collection Single Breasted Coat in Purple, £89. Gotta tell you, did not see it coming, the lilac trend. My twelve year old self desperately wants me to buy this coat. My thirty six year old self just might. It’s not even on the website yet, but it exists, have tried it on.
Mint Velvet Mia Bronze Block Heel Boot, £129. Gold boots. Ridiculous? Or ridiculously good? Whatever, I covet them, cannot wait to be swanning around in my purple coat and gold boots doing the most, the love child of Judy Jetson and the Cookie Monster.
M&S Autograph Pure Cashmere Round Neck Jumper in Black, £75. Realised that my wardrobe was missing a little black jumper. Had a 20% off M&S voucher so bought one, a cashmere one no less. I don’t own any cashmere. Am slightly terrified about ruining it on first wash. Was feeling like a proper grown up until I read the label, which recommends using a cashmere comb. I do not have a cashmere comb. Add it to the list, along with all the other grown up stuff I am yet to own. Like a rolling pin. We use a wine bottle for our gingerbread, what’s your problem? No I haven’t got a salad spinner. A fish kettle?
Til next time,
