What’s In My Makeup Bag: Spring 2019

Have had a bit of a switch around on the makeup front. The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders that I’ve used all winter long have been usurped in favour of matte powders and creams. And though I haven’t really discovered anything new, I have rediscovered plenty. Here’s what’s in my makeup bag, Spring ’19 edition.

BASE

Fallen back in love with the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. Still loving the Clinique Even Better Glow Foundation mainly on account of the excellent colour match that I’ve managed to achieve, for once. The Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder is still my powder of choice. Spenny but the best. While I’m not sure that the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Settling Spray makes my makeup last any longer, think it might be helping to stop it migrating onto my cream jumpers. Jury’s still out.

COLOUR

Enjoying a cream cheek product very much indeed. Blusher courtesy of the Glossier Cloud Paint in Puff and bronzer in the form of the Makeup Obsession Contour Creams. I use two shades, Light and Light/Medium, which will set you back just 90p each, as will another fave, the Makeup Obsession Strobe Balm in Precious. So good. While we’re on Makeup Obsession, am also loving the Contour Powder in Light and Blusher in L’Amour. Made myself a little Makeup Obsession face palette and now use nothing else. Well, except this H&M Blusher when I fancy a change.

EYES + BROWS

Brows also come courtesy of, you guessed it, Makeup Obsession. Their brow powder is my jam, another 90p bargain. Still using the Benefit BADGAL Bang! Mascara though must confess, it rather loses it’s oomph as you get towards the end unlike many mascaras which tend to get better just as they are about to run out.

LIPS

Pretty loyal to the Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer in Beige Pop, the best nude lipstick, and the H&M Cream Lipstick In Seashell, but already looking forward to summer brights.

Til next time,

Hayley
