If there’s one thing the internet does well it’s makeup FOMO. Serves up some major makeup envy. Raves about all the brilliant products you could have if only you lived somewhere else (or on someone else’s budget). Top of the FOMO tree? Tarte Shape Tape Concealer.
The internet went mad for this concealer. But you can’t get Tarte in the UK. Or can you? If you live in the UK and want this concealer, there is a way. QVC.
But it’s not straightforward. You have to buy it as part of a set, with the corresponding makeup sponge. They only stock 6 shades out of the full colour line up. You can’t visit it in store, to colour match. And you have to pay for P&P.
I went for it. Placed the order, got the goods. And it’s as good as the FOMO promised. The hype was real, this is such a great concealer. A very thin consistency that gives great coverage, blends easily and doesn’t crease. DOES NOT CREASE you guys. The other standout feature is that it works just as well under the eyes as it does on blemishes. Does it all.
Though it’s not as full coverage as I was expecting. Doesn’t completely conceal dark circles, but is buildable. My only complaint is the packaging. It has a giant doe foot applicator that picks up way too much product so you have to scrape some off, back into the tube.
Packaging woes aside, it’s a beaut. Has fought off stiff competition from IT Cosmetics, Collection and NARS and edged into the top spot. New concealer fave.
