This wine is delicious. If you like Sauvignon Blanc, do check it out.
I was in Aldi, buying an advent calendar (more on that here), baby in one arm (no trolley pound, I know you’ve been there), calendar in the other (it big), so I grabbed the nearest bottle of white wine, tucked it under my armpit, and whadda you know, it’s a beauty.
I remember reading an article about their wine buyer (one chap, excellent), back when Aldi wine was first getting hype. This one, the Exquisite Collection Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, £7.49 a bottle or £44.94 for a case of 6, is dry but fruity, long finish, very good indeed.
In even better news, it seems that Aldi do home delivery! Who knew? I have a case winging its way to my house as we speak. Free delivery too.
