Life Update: One Flight, One Amazing Makeup Offer

I bring you this post as a little Life Update slash Public Service Announcement hybrid. Had given up on blogging in August on account of the school holidays, but this No7 offer is the sort of deal I live to share.

Should the post actually get published and not languish unfinished in my drafts. If you are reading this a minor miracle has occurred in that I have succeeded in taking the accompanying photographs without any tiny hands appearing in shot, pre 4pm when I leave for the airport. Because, Dear Reader, I am going on holiday. Without my children.

My children are, on the whole, thoroughly good company and yet they are not my favourite travel companions. I am giddy at the thought of a flight spent drinking wine and reading Vanity Fair without anyone sat on my lap, let alone the three days by a pool in Spain that follow it. So that’s the life update, an exciting departure from regular proceedings which largely involve trying to remove dried Weetabix from things – floorboards, furniture, faces – and microwaving cups of tea.

On to the PSA! You know those vouchers that you get at Boots, with money off No7? The current one is £10 off No7 when you spend £20. They also have a corresponding offer of a free makeup face palette when you buy two No7 products. Then a third discovery to further sweeten the deal: the excellent No7 Aqua Cushion Foundation (full review here) for just £8 (was £17.50).

The truly epic thing about all of these offers is that you can use them in conjunction with one another. So I bought the Airbrush Away Translucent Finishing Powder, the Cushion Foundation and got the free No7 Maple Glow Palette for the grand total of £11.50. That is some seriously good makeup for £11.50. The powder (review here) is officially my favourite pressed powder pipping my second favourite, the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder, to the number one spot. Have yet to use the palette, but the highlighter swatch I did in store was hugely promising.

Probably won’t take the palette on holiday as have already packed some Tarte minis I am yet to tell you about, but it is so slim and neat that I’m hugely tempted. I appear to have bought the cushion foundation in a highly ambitious tanned shade, perhaps revealing my subconscious expectations regarding three days in the sun.

Adiós amigos!

Til next time,

Hayley
