How much fun are weddings? I live for a wedding. The vows, the dress, the disco playlist. Good times. Went to a family wedding in Cornwall last week and it was awesome. Did not wear the dress you all liked, went for Mango instead. Had spent the week prior eating pasties and cream teas, so Blueberries was a little too snug to accommodate the vigorous dancing that a wedding requires. Mango dress, I discovered, is excellent for dancing as it swishes. None of my regular clothes swish. Jeans have never felt so dull. Here’s what I’m loving this week…

Fleabag, BBC iPlayer. Hoping that as I am so late to the Fleabag party you will forgive the spoilers, but have just watched both series and loved it, of course, but that cannot be the end, it just can’t. Can just about cope with the hot priest choosing God – sorry! – but what happened with Claire and Klare, is the weird stepson OK, what’s the deal with the kindly bank manager man from Mock The Week? Too many questions, please Phoebe Waller-Bridge kindly put down the new Bond film script and write some resolutions, pronto.
TRYING
Tried on these, the Topshop Mid Stone Slim Jeans, £55, new from Topshop Boutique. Not a fan. And I was excited because the Topshop Straight Leg Raw Hem Jeans, £40, are my absolute favourites, for about four hours before they go baggy at the knees, and this pair look identical except they are 100% cotton, no elastane in sight. But it wasn’t to be. Unlike most Topshop jeans, these come in dress sizing not inches and in only one length. And that length is long, they touched the floor on me – I’m 5′ 6″ and normally take a 32″ leg. Plus they are rather baggy, not slim as the name would suggest, even though they fit well in the waist.
BUYING
Have you ever bought anything from Fragrance Direct? I discovered it this week. Sells all sorts, perfume, obviously, but also makeup, suncream, haircare. I’ll show you everything that I bought next week, but it includes this little L’Oréal haul which was all an absolute bargain.
