It runs out, you buy a new one. That’s how you know, that something is really good, when you buy it again (and again). These are mine, my most repurchased makeup products of 2018.
1. Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer, £22.
There are other great concealers. Estée Lauder, NARS, Maybelline, Collection. But were I to choose just one, my desert island concealer, this would be it. It’s a texture thing. All of the coverage without the weight or thickness of other full coverage concealers.
2. IT Cosmetics CC Cream SPF50+, £30.
Tried the Illuminating version this year and was not a fan. But this version, the original IT Cosmetics CC Cream, is one of my all time favourite base products. Great for summer time, it makes skin look fresh, plump and even, with SPF 50.
3. No7 Stay Perfect Foundation, £15.
While the IT Cosmetics is just the thing for hot summer days, this foundation is just the thing for every day, and every night, in every season. You get what I’m saying. Dependably great. The ultimate all rounder.
4. Clinique Pep-Start Pout Restoring Night Mask, £16.
Is it makeup? Is it skincare? It is one expensive lip balm, that’s for sure, but nothing else hydrates quite like it. Great as an overnight lip treatment but equally great as a base for lipstick for the dry of lip.
5. Benefit BADgal BANG! Volumising Mascara, £22.
The only mascara I have repurchased this year. If you like your lashes to look thick, long and blackest black, it’s a winner.
Til next time,
Hayley
