What to wear on Christmas Day is an interesting one, isn’t it? Do you dress up or spend the whole day in pyjamas? Perhaps you are dedicated to the Christmas jumper? Maybe it varies year on year. Well here, a little Christmas Day outfit inspiration for you whatever your vibe. A mix of old and new, from current to proper vintage.
THE JAZZY JUMPER
Not a proper Christmas jumper but not a regular jumper either, the jazzy jumper is a different category of sweater. Dressier than your average knit, occasion wear without with the effort. Comfy, warm, possibly good at disguising festive food babies. Wearing it with trousers or skirts is the obvious choice, but can also look great over dresses. Or pyjamas.

TARTAN
A Christmas classic but also en vogue, Paris Fashion Week was awash with tartan and plaid for AW/19 as seen at Gucci, Dior and Chloé. Even the royal family are fans of the check, the Queen has her own personal tartan, don’t you know. My tartan skirts may have less lofty heritage, vintage Marks & Spencer, but were given to me by my Mother-in-law so come complete with sentiment and Christmas cheer.

NEWNESS
Should you require a new outfit for C-day, these two pieces are from Whistles current season (and currently in the sale). Both beautiful quality and fit, perfect for a variety of occasions. Was very tempted to keep the red dress for Christmas and the green skirt for New Year.
