Thought this Alpha H set was worth a mention as a) it’s excellent value and b) it contains a brand new product, the Alpha H Liquid Gold Rose Perfect and Plump lip treatment. My love of the Alpha H Liquid Gold Rose is well documented, but in case you’ve missed it here’s the cheat sheet. It’s a glycolic acid overnight treatment that exfoliates dead skin cells to improve texture, fine lines and radiance.
Alpha H describe it as a professional-style resurfacing treatment that you can do at home, and I would agree. It makes more of a difference to my skin than any other product I have ever used. The Rose version is enriched with a host of aromatic botanicals, including rose extract, which makes it a gentler version of the original Liquid Gold, suitable for dry and sensitive skin. The Liquid Gold Rose in this set is a special edition supersize, for mega fans like myself, containing 200ml.
The Alpha H Balancing Cleanser with Damask Rose is another great product, calming and soothing, an ideal partner to the Liquid Gold. I’ve tried it before, in a smaller size, as part of a travel set (similar to this one). The one in the QVC set is a proper full size, 185ml, in a super convenient squeeze tube with a lovely matte feel.
The new product is an exciting one. Perfect & Plump is a lip treatment containing fruit enzymes that work to gently exfoliate lips. It promises softer, smoother, more hydrated lips and could not be more up my street. Individually it retails for a punchy £35, so needs to work actual miracles in order to be repurchased separately. Though I have been using it at night for a week, following a particularly savage cold, and think it is doing great things.
The three-piece Alpha H Rose Gold Complexion Renewal Collection is £70 at QVC, and while I think it is already excellent value at that price, full disclosure, I bought it for £42 when QVC did one of their one-day Special Value prices, so eyes peeled for another of those.

Til next time,
