Barry M Illuminating Highlighter Palette Review

How pretty? Look at this packaging. Sure, it’s made of cardboard, but it has tiny stars on it. Tiny foiled rose gold stars. And rockets. For stellar highlight. Intergalactic illumination. I feel you Barry M.

This is the new Barry M Illuminating Highlighter Palette, £6.49. Three powder highlights – one white, one pink, one peach.

The pink and the peach shades are lovely. Lightly pigmented, the fine powder formula gives a soft sheen. That lit from within glow. No chunky glitter. Gorgeous.

Perfect as highlighter or as blush topper depending on skintone. The formula is so good that you can even use them all over the face, as illuminating powders. Not highlight that can be seen from space, but something much more chic. Subtle radiance.

The white shade is a little chunkier, a little less refined. I still like it though. What you lose in formula you gain in colour pigmentation. Blend well and it looks great.

Not the icy white it looks in the pan but champagne toned, gold even, on the skin. This shade can be built from subtle to poppin’. Though don’t take it too high if you have fine lines around the eyes. No need to go highlighting those.

It’s not perfect. The wear time isn’t long and the packaging isn’t luxe. But these are the only cons in what is otherwise a very nice little palette.

Recommended.

Til next time,

Hayley
