How great is this shade? The NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Buenos Aires, £5.50. Me and my lips are spring ready. I’m making plans, to switch up my nail colour and dig out sandals. Match my new springtime lips. Peachy keen.
That is, until I get home and try it out. If you are a fan of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams look away now.
Firstly, it has very little colour pigment. It gives a sheer wash of colour, with your natural lip colour showing through. And not in a good way.
Secondly, that sheer wash of colour is patchy. And dry. So terribly dry. It clings to dry patches, exaggerates texture, settles into lines. Decidedly un-peachy.
It must be this shade. The others in the line must be better. People love them. But this one, no bueno.
It’s one step away from straight in the bin bad. Maybe Summer will save it. More humidity, better conditioned lips? I’m reaching.
