The Ordinary Advanced Retinoid 2% Review

The Ordinary Retinoid 2%

This is my most loved product from The Ordinary. So far. I’ve just ordered the new foundations, The Ordinary Colours. So we shall see.

But my current crush is this retinol serum. Retinol has traditionally been a pricey ingredient. Not here. The Ordinary Advanced Retinoid 2% will set you back just £8.

Not only is it a bargain, it’s also a pleasure to use. A lovely milky texture, it goes on smoothly and is quickly absorbed by the skin.

Extremely gentle too. Retinol can cause irritation: dryness, redness, even peeling. This is highest concentration of retinol you can get without prescription, at 2%. Yet I’ve had no irritation at all. Just results.

The Ordinary skincare

I started off using it twice a week and saw an improvement in texture and tone immediately. My skin looks brighter. Now I use it every other day, at night, and here’s the clincher – my skin looks better on the days after I use it than on the days I don’t.

Highly recommended.

Til next time,

Do you think this would irritate your under eye area? I have milia (tiny white cysts) around there and I had a sample from a dermatologist of some retinoid stuff that I used a few times.

Retinol is often prescribed for milia, so definitely worth a try! H x
