It is cold. Brr. The weather of hot chocolate, socks, slippers. Of skipping out on socialising to hurry home and hibernate, with a good book or film, beneath a blanket.
Luxe loungewear is the answer to certain sartorial voids. Those hours between work and sleep. Post OOTD, pre pjs. It’s what you wear to answer the door to the Deliveroo man. Or on a lazy Sunday. Your winter weekend wardrobe.
The Luxe Loungewear Edit is here to keep you comfortably chic. As an ode to January, we’re eschewing cashmere in favour of affordable. Luxe for less.
Keeping the heat up from feet up are these beauties from Jigsaw. In the sale, but with all sizes currently in stock you can snap up the Leena Snuggle Boot Slipper for £24 (were £49).
The hunt for the perfect jogger continues, but current favourites are the Next Grey Super Soft Joggers, £20.
As comfy as their name suggests and hold their shape, unlike previous cashmere picks which all sagged at the knees. Generous in size and length – if you are between sizes go smaller. Also available is a matching top, £22, above.
The Joules Heyford Scarf in Grey Check, £29.95, is so soft and oversized that it could easily double as a throw.
Not so much loungewear more bona fide nightwear, these pyjama bottoms from The White Company are worth a look if you are due a pyjama upgrade.
Thick, brushed cotton, they come in a variety of patterns and are currently on sale at £20-£24 (previously £40). You’ll need to be flexible on print to find your size, but are all nice neutrals. Again, generously sized, if in doubt go smaller.
Paired with a grey jumper and slippers, don’t be surprised if you’re still in them for brunch.
Til next time,
Hayley
