Skincare ingredients are so confusing! Let’s break it down. Today…Salicylic Acid.
What Is It?
Salicylic Acid, aka Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA), exfoliates the skin and fights spots and acne. Found in skincare in concentrations of 0.5 – 2%.
What Does It Do?
Like AHAs, it exfoliants the skin, but then does something extra. It penetrates the skin to exfoliate the insides of your pores. Plus it’s an anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory. This treats existing spots and prevents breakouts.
What’s It In?
Face wash, cleansers, spot treatment products, serum, peels.
