This week was also spent in Cornwall, our one week trip extended to accommodate a vomiting bug which rendered both children unfit for travel. Aside from a mild case of cabin fever, I am right as rain so have been entertaining myself by nicking my Mother’s make up and driving to and from ASDA. She has the new No7 HydraLuminous Foundation and matching No7 Dark Circle Concealer which are, on first impressions, both excellent. The foundation will be procured as soon as I find a legitimate reason to escape to Boots.
ASDA has been a revelation. It sells everything. The very thing I needed (Frozen on DVD, Calpol) plus some others that I absolutely did not (white top, blazer, vegan pizza). Thoroughly delighted with them all. The No Dough Pizza Co Vegan BBQ Jackfruit Pizza was quite the discovery, even though none of us are actual vegans. (I was vegetarian for about a year but, dear reader, have fallen. A burger undid me.) The BBQ jackfruit topping tastes exactly like pulled pork and the cauliflower base is incredibly thin but delicious. Must confess, we added genuine non-vegan cheddar to the top, but still feel like it’s a small win for both the animals and the waistline.
