Am obsessed with jeans. Not sure why, or where this new obsession has come from, but I want to buy them, all of them, in every fit and every wash. Straight ones, cropped ones, vintage Levi’s ones. Black ones, blue ones, bleached ones. All the different Topshop ones.
Recently discovered this page, The Jeans Fit Guide, on the Topshop website which is super useful if you don’t know your Jamie’s from your Joni’s or what a Dad Fit is. Plus they have a new style, the Editor Jeans. Now, this is a fantastic pair of jeans. The denim feels really premium, 100% cotton, softer than their regular material. The Bleach Editor Jeans are particularly lust-worthy, the perfect wash, a nice cool blue.
Want them. Can’t have them, as I’ve only just bought the Topshop Bleach Ripped Hem Mom Jeans, purchased before the Editor discovery was made. I mean they are very different (in a Devil Wears Prada way rather than a trying to explain it to your Mother way, I grant you). My bleached Mom Jeans are a different blue and a tapered fit, plus they have rips. Also, should probably prioritise buying a full length mirror, or a tripod, so I can show you what they look like on. Until then, can I interest you in a GIF?
The Editor Jeans are high rise, not quite as high as a Mom Jean which I think makes them a little more flattering from the back. Straight leg with a slight flare at the bottom that looks great worn slightly short. The fit is true to size, order your regular waist size (30″ is a UK size 12, a 32″ a size 14 etc) but one size shorter in length if you want them to hit at the ankle.
