Tis the season to buy knitwear, fa-la-lala-laaaa, lala-la-la.
Knitwear. All the knitwear. Then trying to wear it and feeling extremely hot. First up, a ribbed, navy turtleneck jumper from Zara that has gold coin-style buttons down the back. The photos do not do it justice. The buttons are just the right gold – the right shade, not too shiny. The knit isn’t thick but has good weight to it. They say navy, it’s virtually black, just FYI.
My other knitwear love is from H&M, this cream beauty. Again, doesn’t look very special in the photos, looks great in the flesh. It’s quite structural with an oversized roll neck and is the perfect length for tucking in, not cropped but slightly short. Although the knit is quite stiff, it’s still very soft. Both of these are a zero on the itch scale. I cannot with itchy knitwear. The slightest hint of itchiness drives me wild.
ZARA Knit Sweater With Buttons, £39.99, here.
H&M Ribbed Polo-Neck Jumper in Cream, £34.99, here.
Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Colour in Ruby, £24.50 full size. This lipstick formula is fantastic. So moisturising, but with no stickiness or slip. Ruby is a great autumnal shade, a deep berry-brown, but the colour isn’t fully opaque. More than a stain, similar in pigment to the intense version of the Clinique Chubby Sticks, but with the feel of a lipstick. An easy, comfortable way to wear a deeper shade, without worrying about smudging. Very nice indeed. Have been pairing it with dark nails, the CND Vinylux Weekly Polish in Dark Dahlia, £6.95 (you also need the weekly top coat, full review here).
Til next time,
