Tonight Matthew, I’m going to be…Brigitte Bardot.
NARS Satin Lipstick in Honolulu Honey, £22. A true beige, peach undertone not pink. Brigitte Bardot style, a 1960s nude. Haven’t tried the NARS satin formula before – it’s less opaque than the Audacious range but just as creamy.
Bobbi Brown Luxe Eyeshadow, £27 each. They are pretty special, as one would hope for twenty-seven British pounds. Packed full of micro glitter. Visited a BB counter and tried the shade Serpentine, a dark grey with silver sparkle. Less blingy than you would think from swatching it, more sophisticated. The really impressive part is how it wears. Does not budge. The glitters don’t fall out and end up on your cheeks. The shadow doesn’t smudge or fade. It looks as good at the end of the day as it did when first applied. Pick your shade, press it onto the eyelid with a finger, done. Brigitte would approve.
Mii Feature Length Lash Lover Mascara, £15.50*. A new brand, pronounced ‘me’ I believe. Their Feature Length mascara is a beauty. Good name, boy does it give length. The formula contains little fibres that coat your lashes, elongating them. Very good. Cannot do the bottom lashes without creating an almighty mess though. Not that this matters if you are going for a rock chick type look. The smudgier the better.
Til next time,
