In Search Of: Midcentury Planters

The search is over. Am the proud owner of one shiny new midcentury-style planter. Have lusted after the West Elm version for a time, but did not want to part with the £149 to acquire it.

West Elm Planter

You might remember that I found a great option at Next a while back. Very similar. Same turned wooden legs but with a concrete pot, not ceramic. At a much more reasonable £50.

Never bought the Next one though. I’m not very green fingered. A serial plant killer. I want to have them in my house, but they never last. Though they look lovely, and NASA says that they purify the air. Seriously, they recommend having a plant per every 100 square foot of living space. Actual astronaut science.

But then I found this beauty. Wooden legs, white ceramic pot, yours for the bargain price of £24.99. If you can find it. Got it from Homesense. A treasure amongst cut-price Christmas crackers.

Til next time,

Hayley

I’ve just been looking for one of these to put in the seemingly huge spot my Christmas tree was! X
