Super affordable makeup is having a moment. There are gems to be found. My makeup bag is home to several low cost lovelies that I never want to be without.
Sometimes we all need a little splurge, a pick-me-up, something cheering at the end of a long week. On a tight budget? I got you pal. These are my top picks, beauty products that far outperform their tiny price tag. My top three under £3.
1. Barry M Lip Liner in 17 Blush, £2.99.
These lip liners have a lovely, creamy formula. So nice you can use them as a lipstick substitute – whenever someone asks what lipstick I’m wearing, it’s a Barry M Lip Liner with lip balm on top. Available in many colours, all consistently good. My pick up of the bunch is 17 Blush, the perfect nude.
2. Collection Velvet Kiss Moisturising Lip Cream in Caramel, £2.99.
A new lippie is the most cheering of all makeup products. Adds colour and life to your face in an instant. These three shades of the Collection Velvet Kiss Moisturising Lip Creams are excellent. Long lasting without being drying, opaque, matte. The red is a standout, but I’ve picked the nude shade, Caramel, as it’s just so easy to wear. Although the rosy shade is a super wearable option too, if nudes wash you out.
Sure, it’s a lovely eyeshadow. Light, bright, champagne shimmer. But try it on the cheekbones. It’s makes for an exceptional highlighter. Bold and icy. No glitter. Gorgeous. As a highlighter it is one of my favourites, drugstore or high end. I like it more than Becca Opal you guys. £2 friends. £2.
