This is my new favourite thing. It is the perfect summer bronzer. More natural looking than powder. Less greasy than a cream. Lighter than a mousse. So fresh, so gorgeous.
The L’Oréal Glam Bronze Cushion de Soleil, £14.99, is a truly unique product. I would call it a stain but it blends so easily, unlike a lot of liquid products. Very forgiving, no demarcation lines here. But the formula is like a stain in that it’s light, thin and sheer. You can see freckles through it. Which makes it incredibly natural looking.
The colour is great too. Only one shade, but one that would work for a variety of skin tones. Fair skins can use a light hand and it builds well too, for the more tanned. Very similar in colour to the Benefit Hoola Bronzer. I do hope they bring out more shades. Would totally buy it in a deeper shade, and in a cooler toned version for contouring.
I apply it with a duo fibre brush, the MAC 130, after foundation and it gives a lovely fresh, dewy look to the skin. It has a gorgeous glowy sheen that’s a bit difficult to describe. Not glittery or shimmery in any way, but not greasy either. A dry sheen, if you can imagine. Super nice.
Looks as good on a natural makeup day as it does of an evening. You can wear it over suncream, or a light base, with nothing else. Or you can use it on more full coverage days, under powders.
The wear time is fantastic, it outlasts the rest of my face makeup. And the cushion compact makes it so easy to use, no decanting product onto the back of your hand, no mess. Great for travel.
Til next time,
