Kiko Extra Sculpt Volume Mascara Review

Kiko Extra Sculpt Volume Mascara

Woah. My lashes are huge. Never have they looked so long, so full. Naturally they are a bit lacklustre. Stubby. So this is a great day.

I’m too lazy to curl them. False lashes? Forget it pal. Cannot be bovved. I briefly considered using one of those lash growth serums. You know the ones? Primarily used to treat glaucoma but with a side effect – major lash growth – so swiped by the beauty industry.

But these serums have yet to be proven safe. And eyes are so precious. Love em, super useful. Decided not to put potentially damaging chemicals near my perfectly healthy eyes.

So mascara it is. And the Kiko Extra Sculpt Volume Mascara, £8.90, makes my eyelashes look longer and thicker than any mascara I have ever used. It is the best for that.

But these luscious lashes come at a price. Man is it hard to use this mascara wand without making a mess. I get it everywhere, lids, brow bone, under eyes. The wand is huge and unwieldy, with a bulky bit on the end. Though the clean up is easy, the smudges wipe right off (leave them to dry then use a cotton bud).

The other issue is that it gets a bit crumbly as it wears. Towards the end of the day I notice little black specs all over my cheeks. These brush away easily too, but you have to keep an eye out for them (pun intended). Mildly annoying.

Other than the black flakes, it looks great all day and comes off easily with makeup remover or cleanser. It’s so nearly great. I mean, I’ll use it alright. The pros are just too strong. But not every day. Too lazy for that.

Til next time,
