Luxury US beauty brand Becca know glow. It’s their thing. Their highlighters are the stuff of beauty legend. Super popular in the States, less well known here.
They stock Becca in Space NK so I paid those highlights a visit. Swatched them, was unconvinced. The shade Champagne Pop, Becca’s best selling collaboration with Youtuber Jaclyn Hill, was so gold, so glittery, so not my thing. Maybe it translates differently on the face – lots of products do. The other shades had more promise, but not enough for me to plump up the £32.
But then I found this. If you are also keen to try out some Becca highlight without committing to the full shebang, check out the Becca Opal Glow On The Go Collection, £20 on Cult Beauty or $20 at Sephora. Two travel sized highlighters, one liquid one pressed, in the shade Opal.
Opal is a peachy gold toned highlight, perfect for medium skintones. The liquid version, Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlight, swatches like liquid gold but actually blends out to a barely there peachy sheen. The Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter gives glow but does gets a little glittery as it wears. Quite subtle applied alone, but layered over the liquid it becomes super shiny.
If only all the good makeup came in travel size. Perfect for handbags and holidays. Easy on the bank balance.
Til next time,
